Same day care

Manchester has two GP lead walk-in centres and two urgent care centres that provide patients with same day care.

GP walk-in centres

Our walk-in GP centres have re-designed their services to provide you with GP care over the phone from the safety of your own home, for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The GPs will do all they can to help you over the phone or book you in for a video consultation so you don’t need to leave your home – however, should they feel you need to be seen by a health professional face to face for an examination, you will be made an appointment. Do not go into your GP practice in person without prior agreement. Please use these services responsibly and appropriately to ensure people with the most need receive care during the pandemic.
