The NHS England Patient Online team is running a series of regional events on primary care digital transformation in April and May, offering help and support to those in the front line and discussing what role digital will play in the future.
The conferences are being held in Cambridge, Leeds, Coventry, London – and a venue in the south which will be confirmed shortly. The day is split into morning and afternoon sessions and delegates can attend the full day or just the morning or afternoon.
The morning sessions are aimed at GP practices and their staff, providing useful information and support in offering GP Online Services to patients. Practices will get a clear idea of the benefits of implementing online services, and advice will be available about how they can make the most of appointments, nurse clinics, test results, patient-centred care, and how to involve their PPG. System providers will be available for drop-in sessions too.
The afternoon sessions are aimed at CCG Chief Information Officers, Chief Clinical Information Officers and primary care commissioners. The agenda will focus on GPFV, CCG procurement responsibilities, and GPSoC developments. There will be keynotes from Regional Directors of Primary Care Commissioning which will cover the vision for general practice and the importance of taking advantage of digital opportunities in improving clinical outcomes.
Colleagues in the North region are invited to any of these events. Anyone unable to attend the events in Leeds will find the other events just as welcoming and useful.
