On behalf of Novo Nordisk and the University Hospital of South Manchester Diabetes Team, you are invited to participate in the MERIT™ (Meeting Educational Requirements, Improving Treatment) Education programme.
The MERIT™ Helping people with Type 2 Diabetes to continue insulin therapy day commences at 09.00. Please refer to the programme agenda for an overview of the day.
This course provides 7 credits.
As you may be aware, the MERIT™ programme consists of 2 complementary elements:
|Meeting Educational Requirements
A flexible, classroom-based education course designed to provide delegates with the theory required to support diabetes management
The provision of tailored clinical support in order to help delegates consolidate the theory into practice following completion of a MERITTM course
The MERIT™ Improving Treatment element is:
- Clinical support is designed to support the module that has been undertaken. This service by a specialist nurse resource (either via the Community Diabetes Nursing team or a Novo Nordisk Diabetes Education Nurse facilitator) is not a mandatory part of MERIT™ but is useful for providing practices with an over-view of their current diabetes care and to highlight patients who may require clinical intervention.
Both elements of the course are awarded a course certificate. Completion of the clinical mentorship will demonstrate clinical impact. For GPs and Nurses single CPD points are awarded for this course.
If you would like to participate please E-mail your response on the address below stating name, designation and practice address for each delegate.
