Equality Delivery System (EDS2) – Sharing your feedback on our external assessment

Manchester Health and Care Commissioning held its annual external stakeholders Equality Delivery System (EDS) 2 event during September 2019.

This year the focus was on Goal 1Better Health Outcomes, with a specific focus on two of the five outcomes:

  •  1.1  Services are commissioned, procured, designed and delivered to meet the health needs of local communities
  •  1.5  Screening, vaccination and other health promotion services reach and benefit all local communities

The above two outcomes were assessed against the following clinical services:

  • Mental Health – Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) Services – presentation
  • Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) – Winning, Hearts and Minds – presentation
  • Respiratory – Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) – presentation
  • Cancer – Lung cancer and lung health checks – presentation

External stakeholders graded the above services against the two outcomes and the results have been collated. The criteria used is based on NHS England EDS 2 guidance criteria.
