David Regan

Director of Population Health and Nursing

David was appointed as Director of Public Health for Manchester in May 2010 and has worked in the city for over 30 years.  During this time he has managed frontline services at the old Withington Hospital site before taking up his first public health post at Manchester Health Authority.  He then established and led the Manchester Joint Health Unit funded by both the NHS and the Council set up to tackle health inequalities in Manchester.

David originates from Liverpool and still retains his passion for Liverpool FC despite the success of the two Manchester clubs over the past 30 years.
