About us

Manchester Health and Care Commissioning (MHCC) is a partnership organisation between Manchester City Council and NHS Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group. In 2017, we came together as one, to ensure a more joined up and effective approach to commissioning health, public health and adult social care services for the people of Manchester.

Manchester is a dynamic and vibrant city that is truly a great place to live. We have a diverse and growing population and for many of our residents, they enjoy good quality of life. However, Manchester does have poor health outcomes and more deprivation, in general, than the England average, so we’re working hard to create A Healthier Manchester for our people.

Our vision is to:

  • Make Manchester a city where everyone can live a healthier life
  • Support you and your loved ones, investing in what you tell us is important to you
  • Make sure you receive the right care in the right place and at the right time, delivered by kind, caring people that you can trust
